Smokin’ Yards started in Idaho Springs in 2008 and calls its style “High Elevation BBQ”, borrowed from several regions; its flagship sits on Clear Creek, and a second location has opened at 900 West 1st Avenue in Denver. The menu on its home page, read 10 October 2026, lists smoked sandwiches with one side from $12.99 to $13.99 (pulled pork, Carolina pulled pork, sliced or chopped brisket, beef burnt ends, pulled chicken, hot links), baby back and St. Louis ribs by the half or full rack ($20.99 to $42.99), smoked chicken and hot wings, and combination plates from two meats and a side for $22.99 to four meats and three sides for $38.99, with sides such as smoked baked beans, fried okra, creamed corn and mac and cheese. It caters, and online ordering for Idaho Springs runs through its site.
Address, phone and hours were read on the restaurant’s Contact page on 10 October 2026; its pages show nothing dated beyond a copyright footer. The City of Idaho Springs’ visitor site, read the same day, lists Smokin’ Yards at 2736 Colorado Boulevard with the same number, the second, independent source that it is operating.
