Beau Jo's Pizza

The original Beau Jo's, serving its Colorado-style pizza on Miner Street since the 1970s, with salads, sandwiches and calzones, a bar pouring Colorado craft beers, and a dog-friendly patio.

Beau Jo’s calls its Idaho Springs restaurant the first of its locations, serving Colorado-style pizza since the 1970s; the original opened just across the street. The menu is the hand-braided-crust pizza, finished with Colorado honey, plus salads, sandwiches and calzones with vegetarian and gluten-free options. The salad bar is gone from this location. The bar is open seating, with Colorado craft beers on tap, and the location page gives a weekday happy hour from 3 to 6 pm.

Reservations are taken only for parties of 20 or more; smaller groups are seated first come, first served. Online ordering, delivery and curbside pickup are offered. Parking, including the back lot, is paid, with no validation. Dogs are not allowed inside but leashed dogs are welcome on the patio. Private banquet rooms are available, and the restaurant says to plan on 15 to 20 minutes from order to table. For a live wait-time estimate the FAQ gives 303-963-4298.

Address, phone and hours were read on the restaurant’s Idaho Springs location page on 10 October 2026. That page shows no dated post; the City of Idaho Springs’ visitor site, read the same day, lists Beau Jo’s Pizza at 1517 Miner Street with the same number, the second, independent source that it is operating.
