MTN Prime

Steakhouse with a scratch kitchen in the Miner Street building that was once the town's grocery store: lunch daily from 11 am, dinner from 4 pm and brunch at weekends, with rare spirits and wines. Reservations strongly encouraged.

MTN Prime was founded by two longtime friends and restaurateurs, and pairs a scratch kitchen, steaks and seafood with what it calls rare and premium spirits and wines, in a historic building that once served as the town’s grocery store. Lunch is served daily 11 am to 4 pm and dinner from 4 pm to close; brunch runs 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The restaurant strongly encourages reservations, which it takes on its site, and offers online ordering. Dogs are welcome on the patio.

Address, phone and hours were read on the restaurant’s home and menu pages on 10 October 2026; the site’s embedded structured data still carries an older address (600 Miner St) and older hours, and the hours here are the ones the pages display. Neither page shows a dated post; the City of Idaho Springs’ visitor site, read the same day, lists MTN Prime at 1600 Miner Street with the same number, the second, independent source that it is operating.
