Westbound & Down Brewing Company

The original Westbound & Down brewpub on Miner Street, brewing since 2015, with its own beers and what it calls elevated comfort food; the 2025 Great American Beer Festival named it Brewery and Brewer of the Year in its size category.

Westbound & Down opened its first brewpub in Idaho Springs and has brewed since 2015; it now also runs a pizzeria and production brewery in Lafayette, a taproom in Denver’s Dairy Block and a location in Basalt, and its home page announces a Longmont brewpub for November 2026 and a Wheat Ridge taproom for May 2027. Its home page cites wins at the World Beer Cup and the Great American Beer Festival, including 2025 GABF Brewery and Brewer of the Year in the 5,001–15,000 barrel category and Midsize Brewpub of the Year in 2019. The Idaho Springs location page links separate food and drink menus and online ordering. The City of Idaho Springs’ visitor site lists it as “The Buffalo / Westbound & Down” at 1609–1617 Miner Street, in a historic downtown building.

Address, phone and hours were read on the brewery’s Contact page on 10 October 2026. The Idaho Springs location page gives the same hours but prints the phone as 720.502.9121, while its own structured data, the Contact page and the City’s visitor site all give 720-502-3121, the number used here. The home page’s announcement of the November 2026 Longmont opening is the dated evidence that the company is operating, and the City’s visitor site, read the same day, lists the Idaho Springs brewpub.
