Courtney Ryley Cooper Park

A large grassy City park along Clear Creek on Colorado Boulevard, with picnic tables, a playground and a first-come pavilion at its east end, and a Friday farmers market in summer.

Courtney Ryley Cooper Park is a large grassy expanse along Clear Creek, set with picnic tables, with a playground and a pavilion at the east end. The City does not take reservations for the pavilion; it is first come, first served. The City’s parks page says the park hosts a farmers market every Friday in summer. The City’s parking advice for Virginia Canyon Mountain Park asks riders and hikers not to park in City parks, this one included.

These details were read on the City of Idaho Springs’ parks page on 10 October 2026. The parks page carries no date; the City’s news page, read the same day, carried notices posted in September 2026. The City gives no hours for the park.
